I have seen the natural tendency of people to associate what is seeing (abstract, non figurative, geometrical, etc.) with something familiar. "It looks like a..." or "This resembles..." or "This makes me remember...", etc. where "object" goes in the suspension periods.
I think many of the 2D works I make, trying to resemble 3D objects, in the end only produces a nonexistent object.
After choosing the name I investigated the subject which, to no surprise, is a matter concerning many philosophers.
