you have to make sure you have the INI DIRS set to the right folder for BG Bitmaps... I ran into the same problem.

Thank you very much Charles! That was the problem. It was getting me mad. :eyepopping:
My problem was that this last version don't go to sub-folders under backgrounds; previous versions worked well down the tree.

hmm, that's odd, I am not sure if I tried to set any of them to subfolders or not... probably would just have to move things into folders it can ues then

I did loaded the parameters with version 1.82 and the backgrounds were found in sub-folders OK. However, the quality of the render with the last version is much better as to miss it!

ah, I wasn't aware of that. I usually keep all my BGs in the same folder as my finished renders, and when I tried to load one it wouldn't, so I copied them to the main MB folder

Yes, I do like the new version for the quality of the renders
